As a volunteer, you can play a unique role in NMRC's commitment to provide quality programs and services to individuals with intellectual and related development disabilities.
- The Volunteer program offers flexible and diverse volunteer opportunities, enabling volunteers to choose their own time commitment. You may participate in many different opportunities and activities depending on your personal interests, such as playing games, reading books, taking walks, painting, or sharing a meal together. Volunteers are also needed for NMRC's active night leisure calendar and special events.
- NMRC employs staff representing most professions. If you have a particular area of interest or major field of study, volunteering at NMRC could give you exposure to these careers.
Volunteering at NMRC is a crucial part of the effort to provide quality programs and services to each individual. Although we have extremely active lifestyles at NMRC and the community, there is a need for volunteers!
Please Note: NMRC individuals are protected by the Vulnerable Persons Act and many other state and federal laws. For their protection, all volunteers must agree to undergo criminal records and child abuse background checks.
