The Nutrition Services Department is responsible for the purchase, preparation, and distribution of therapeutically correct meals to individuals receiving ICF/IID services on a daily basis.

The department's Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDNs) conduct initial assessments as part of the evaluations that are completed by Diagnostic Services.

The clinical RDNs monitor and evaluate each individual's nutritional status on a routine basis. Information on progress is shared with other members of the interdisciplinary team. These services are provided to the Oxford campus as well as the NMRC ICF/IID Community Homes. In-service training and nutrition education are conducted regularly for NMRC staff.

Lunch and special occasion meal services are provided for Oxford campus staff. Catering is also provided for client and staff activities throughout the year. Nutrition Services provides training for students in the University of Mississippi Nutrition and Hospitality Management Department.
